The boat is $325 a day or $1450 for a week. A week is considered 6 full-days. If you only rent for a single day on the weekend from May to September then the price is $375 for the day. Insurance requires that operators and passengers are listed and sign. There is a upper deck off of the sunroom, a lower deck and patio for grilling out, a firepit for evening relaxation, hammock chairs on the front porch of the house and a hammock in the gazebo overlooking the lake views. My favorite area which includes both a sitting area and lounge chairs is located on the boat dock facing towards a beautiful long range view of the lake. The lakehouse is beautifully designed. The home just steps away from the lake with an easy and relatively flat walk to the water. It is one of the closest houses to Virginia International Raceway on the lake and has a paved neighborhood road and mostly paved driveway. Relax at a spacious 6 bedroom home located in the heart of Hyco Lake with incredible views. We provide everything you need to make your stay as enjoyable, comfortable, and convenient as possible. Life is better at the lake!!! Our Hyco Home is located in the most convenient part of Hyco Lake. The house is right across the water from the Hyco Lake Marina and the camp-ground. In June 2021 we remodeled almost every aspect of the home starting with the kitchens and bathrooms and down to the door hinges and outlet covers. Every design decision was based on what would provide our guests the best possible experience. We brightened up the home with new lighting, painting, and opened up the home anyway we could. The home was designed by remote workers to be for remote work. Along with high-speed internet (only a few homes on the lake have this fast of the internet), 3 bedrooms have private desks and there is plenty of room in the common areas to work. We brought in high-quality furniture that is both comfortable and stylish. We upgraded to the best possible internet (speeds up to 1000 Mbit/sec). The home is very spacious with 6 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. There is plenty of room to sleep comfortably. Hyco Haven has two floors. The top floor has two king master bedrooms. The main master has an attached private bathroom with a double vanity, shower, and jacuzzi tub. There is a desk in the master, a 42" tv, and a large walk-in closet. The second master that we call the "auxiliary master" has a king bed, a reading nook, and an attached bathroom that has a shower tub. The main area has a remodeled kitchen and island with 4 bar stools. The 6 person dining room table is right off the island The main floor is attached to the garage. For the time being, guests are not permitted to use the garage. Each upstairs bedroom and the main area have both sheer and black-out curtains. Both master bedrooms, as well as the living space, have easy sliding door access to the spacious back deck. The back deck has a covered patio with a 6 person table. Right off the back deck is the grilling patio with a grill. The downstairs area was made to entertain. There is a pool table as well as a large tv area with a sectional couch and 55" tv. The basement bathroom is right off of this area. Four bedrooms surround the downstairs living area. Three of the bedrooms have queen beds. Two of them have a desk. Two of them also have sliding doors that walk out to the basement patio and have sheer as well as black-out curtains. The fourth bedroom has a bunk-bed with a full on the bottom and twin bed on the top. There are also two chairs that can be pulled out and turned into queen beds. Below is a summary of the sleeping arrangements. However, we recommend that guests bring their own life jackets for the time being. We will be buying more over time as well as more toys for water activities. The home is a straight-shot from both Roxboro (15-20) minutes away) and Danville (about 20-25 mins). Both of which have several restaurant and grocery store options. Hyco Lake is close to the triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill). The road leading to the house is completely paved (this is a rarity on Hyco). Some things to note: Do not use the boat lifts. There is a large empty slip that is available for guests to bring their boat. We are also happy to coordinate rentals on behalf of our guests. We have a partnership with Hyco Lake Boat Rentals. They can deliver and pick up directly from the dock. While we don’t require you to start a load of towels, it really helps us out because of the Covid timing restrictions, and it may let the next guests check-in early. There is a large slip that is open for guests to bring their own boat. Do not attempt using any of the boat or jet-ski lifts! No wet bathing suits on the furniture! Please do not sit on tables or sinks. Smoking indoors of any kind will result in a $500 fine. Our cleaners are human beings, too. Please take pity :). Extra cleaning fees may be charged if the home is left in an unacceptable and messy state. Do not flush anything other than toilet paper in the toilets. Any plumbing damage costs will be fined towards the guest. Do not set the thermostats lower than 70 degrees, or it may freeze and disable the HVAC system, resulting in a fee.

The most adorable A-frame cottage on Hyco Lake! This waterfront property has everything your family needs to make memories to last a lifetime! A double slip boathouse and dock! Two bedrooms and a loft with two full beds! Renovated with new appliances, beds, furniture, quartz countertops, remodeled bathroom, and more! Enjoy the peace and tranquility on the property. The house is located on a unique bend of the lake that gets low boat traffic. There is little light pollution so the stars stand out! The back patio is comfortable and spacious. Great for coffee in the mornings and watching the sunset at night. Also, good for grilling and eating meals with a view! Feel free to use our kayak and stand-up paddleboard. A high-end firepit was recently installed. There are steps from the deck that lead directly to the firepit. A new half bathroom was also added as well as a pathway that makes for an easier walk to the dock. An outdoor shower was built in May 2021 and is on the deck right off the living room / main patio area. Each bedroom as well as the living room has a Roku TV. We installed Starlink internet in May 2021. We have receivers in the house and on the dock. Guest can use all of the space including the dock! Dock your boat and stay the night! Don't have a boat? We have partnered with the local boat rental company (Hyco Lake Boat Rentals) to provide our guests with a convenient, safe, and enjoyable boat rental option. Hidden Haven is close to Virginia International Raceway, Hyco Marina, Jibtopia, Tunnel Creek Vineyards, Roxboro Country Club, and other area attractions. The neighborhood has a gravel road that is scenic and great for walks. Please be careful and drive slowly. There are often kids playing on the street.

The property provides several spaces to relax, gather, create memories and enjoy the spectacular views and tranquility of the lake: a two-tiered porch deck, a boat house deck over looking the water, an expansive boat house top deck with cozy outdoor furniture and a stone-built patio with fire pit. The bedrooms feature a comfortable king bed, a queen bed and a twin sized bunk with trundle bed. The family room has a tv with streaming services (Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu), and a DVD player. Board games are also available in the main living room. High speed internet Wi-Fi available. A gently sloping backyard leads to the boat dock. The dock is equipped with 2 dock ladders and a set of floating deck steps that provide easy access to the water for people of all sizes and ages or people with mobility issues. The dock features a covered area with deck chairs and an oversized top deck with plenty of outdoor furniture and stunning views. Absolutely no jumping in the water from top deck. There is no boat on the property but you are welcomed to use the boat lift or you can rent a boat at the near by marina. The boat lift is not big enough to accommodate a pontoon boat. Guests have access to the canoe and we provide paddles, ores and adult floating devices. There are also some child sized life jackets but we cannot guarantee all sizes. Guest supply their own fishing gear. In addition, we provide an array of baby items to help minimize packing for those families with very small children. We provide 2 pack and plays, 1 baby bath tub, 1 high chair, 1 booster seat, 1 potty seat, 1 changing pad and 1 diaper pail. We also have an array of children’s books and some random toys. Please note that the house is NOT baby proofed and we ask that you supervise your children at all times. Brand new washer and drier are available for guests. Come enjoy all this unique place has to offer. Relish the sunsets, admire the night sky, watch the geese frolic in the sun or sip your morning coffee while listening to the birds. Do note that our parents hypoallergenic dogs do come to the house around 4-5 times a year if you happen to be extremely allergic to dogs. Please note that the neighbor’s dogs roam freely across properties. They are very friendly but do tend to leave unsolicited souvenirs around our property. Although we’ll do our best to remove them during cleaning we cannot guarantee their absence upon arrival and during your stay.  - We also try to clear the spider webs on the porch and dock before you arrive but those guys are so fast at making new ones that you may some new ones during your stay.  - Please be careful about leaving food out. We don’t usually have issues but food can attract unsolicited critters.  - Cell Service: Spotty reception. Depending on your carrier you may have to walk around the deck to find the sweet spot. Internet based alternatives are an excellent option.  - Internet: Excellent wi-fi connection with high-speed internet. - 1 canoe, tons of pool noodles and several floats provided.  - Boat Slip/Lift Available. Please note that boat slip is not big enough to house a pontoon boat. - Some firewood available for outdoor firepit. If you need more, you can purchase at the gas station or at the Lowes in Roxboro. Please use reasonably, observe every precaution, do not leave unattended and do not have one if winds are high across the lake. - Please be respectful of all lake neighbors and remember that noise carries on water while hanging out on the boat dock. Beautiful Hyco Lake House, perfect for the whole family! This house is smack in the middle of Hyco Lake. It is fully furnished with all you need to have an amazing vacation! This 4 bedroom home is complete with 2 master bedrooms and on suites. One master on the first floor and one master on the second floor. The kitchen is fully furnished with everything you will need to create those great lakeside meals. The view of Hyco from this lake house is incredible! The home features a very large deck on the back of the house complete with gas grill, 2 dining tables and a hot tub. As you make your way to the very large dock, you will pass a fire pit perfect for s'mores in the evening with the kiddos. The dock is the perfect addition as it boasts 2 boat slips and sliding board. The dock is complete with a television for all those Sunday evening races by the lake and a refrigerator and freezer for the cold beverages, microwave, water toys and more. And who can forget, the Jimmy Buffet frozen Margarita Blender and 2 person kayak! The swimming is great as there is plenty of water. Off the end of the dock we average 20 feet! Walk down the gentle sloping lot for a true lake experience-fish, swim, enjoy a drink on the dock viewing the entire Rainey Ridge cove into the main Hyco channel. Freshen up in the outdoor shower. Marina is only 1/2 mile away by land or water Rocky Ridge is in a prime location, being only seconds off of the main rd, Highway 57. Convenient to VIR, it's 8.4 miles or ~15 minutes to the racetrack. Less than a mile from Buoy's Grille, Hyco Lake Marina 2-3 miles from Ma Barker's Convenience Store & gas station, Dollar General for any of your basic needs/snacks/drinks, ABC store, and a "Twice the Ice" self-serve machine that sells discount 10/20 LB ice bags and filtered water 24 hours day. Everything inside the boathouse is there for your use; floats, life jackets, bluetooth speaker, a couple of fishing rods, 2 adults kayak and 1 child's kayak to paddle up the cove towards the main channel. We enjoy the indoor space almost as much as we do the outdoors! The upstairs, open floor plan is a great place for families to gather around the fireplace in the living room, over coffee around the kitchen table, or while prepping food at the butcher block island. The rustic-finished basement is perhaps the best space in the house to enjoy - a wide open space, with a brand new Prince ping pong table, feel free to set up a card game, family board games, or a movie while the kids kick back in bean bag chairs. Some kids toys, books, and games will be available. You can also utilize one of the 6 lockers that are in the basement to 'hang your gear' that was obtained from a former school. Feel free to place a sticker on it like the old days and leave your mark! The downstairs bunk room is a nice, cool room for a group to snooze, and the bedroom across the hall is more like a 'cave' with a built in desk to use for work or placing your computer/electronics. We do NOT have Wi-Fi but use our hot-spot on our phones when we need to check email or browse social media... we truly use the time away at the lake to "digitally detox." We will have an HDMI cord you can plug into the TV should you want to download movies or other shows on your devices before you arrive. The golf cart is available for use via a special offer for an extra $50/day or $150/week - instructions on charging/golf care use will be included in house rules.

This home was built to ENTERTAIN and GATHER friends and family for an enjoyable time away with calming lake views and plenty of opportunity for water fun! Wake up with a mug of coffee on the screened porch with a FULL VIEW OF THE LAKE in a gently sloped wooded lot. Have a bonfire as the sun goes down and roast s'mores with PERFECT SUMMERTIME SUNSET VIEWS off the end of the dock (see photos). The Hangout’s unique layout provides the perfect gathering place for multiple friends and families to comfortably share Hyco Lake together. The main house offers 1,675 square foot of space with a master bedroom and bathroom on the main floor, a cot and two additional bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. The second house, called the 'Hut', is connected by the breezeway and provides an additional 550 square feet of space to gather during the day but offers two sets of bunk beds, a day bed, a sleeper sofa and a bathroom for additional guests. Between these two spaces, there is a 700 sqft breezeway with covered outdoor seating that overlooks the lake. Altogether, this spacious 2,225 square feet can easily sleep 10 comfortably on beds with an additional day bed, sleeper sofa, trundle, and cot to accommodate another 4-6 guests. Depending on the number of passengers, the boat's max speed is around 20 mph. The boat must be rented for your entire stay, at a rate of only $300/full day of your rental (or $1,250 weekly) and a $200 fully refundable damage deposit (Ex: 4-night rental = 3 full days * $300 = $900 total). Maximum of 8 guests on property at all times. The home was remodeled in 2017 to include brand new chef’s kitchen, updated bathrooms, refinished HW floors, completely repainted interior, all new light and plumbing fixtures, brand new furniture, and 3 large flat screen TV’s. Also, a large addition to the boathouse was added that includes a huge upper deck and large covered eating area. The open floor plan features a chef’s kitchen with all new stainless appliances including a Wolf Range, new cabinets, and quartzite countertops. The kitchen island overlooks the family and dining room both featuring walls of windows and spectacular views. The FR has a 60” flat screen TV and the DR seats 8 plus space at the bar. There is also a large desk next to the fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a gourmet cook would expect. The basement offers a seperate family room area with large sectional sofa, 60” flat screen TV, and dining area with seating for 8. There is also a wet bar area that includes a sink and microwave. Enjoy playing darts or board games or watch movies or sporting events in this large living area that has amazing views of the pool and the lake. The home has multiple outdoor living spaces that include a massive brick patio area surrounding the pool with outdoor living room furniture, 2 chaise lounges, and dining table with seating for 4. There is also a brand new Weber Grill and Corn Hole. Furthermore, there is an upper deck that features a large bar overlooking the pool and the lake. Finally, the newly remodeled boathouse also features multiple living spaces: upper deck is 23x35’ and features a bar top dining room table that seats up to 8. The water is very deep (12’+ at dock’s edge) so swimming is fun and safe. The boathouse also features a lower covered area with dining room table that seats 6 and another sun deck area that is 15’x40’ with 2 chaise lounges and other chairs available. Bring your boat and safely tie it to the side of the dock. Another great feature of the home is the lot has very deep water which makes swimming more enjoyable. At normal lake levels, the water is 12+ feet deep at the end of the dock. The home comfortably sleeps 8. The MBR on the main floor features a king bed, 40” flat screen TV, and private bath. The guest BR on the upper floor has a queen size bed and private access to a guest bathroom. The lower level bedroom features 2 extra long double beds and a private bath. Also, on the lower level is a large wash room that has 1 twin bed and room for multiple blow up mattresses (not provided). Lastly, the basement area has a large open area that easily accommodates blow up mattresses (not provided). Other amenities separate fridge on the dock, plenty of floats and pool toys, and a Bose Bluetooth speaker (not waterproof) Also, there is an excellent - safe area for walking or running directly across the street at boat ramp park. The home is located at 1 of the most convenient spots on the lake directly across from the campground and boat ramp. There are walking - nature trails and frisbee golf right across the street from our driveway. Long term (more than 1 week) and off season rentals (October - April) are possible and we are negotiable. Please call with questions. Note: the pool is not heated and isn’t opened until late April - early May and can be chilly in early and late season. Also, renters must agree to skim the pool daily and empty the skimmer basket (takes 10 minutes max) or risk expensive damage to the pump system.. Also, if you want the pool bottom to stay spotless, you will want to use the automatic pool vac (plug it in, drop it in pool, and it does the work).

Expansive downstairs entertainment space with bunk bed and half bath. There is no internet connection and limited cell service, but that doesn't mean there's not plenty to entertain you! The downstairs area has a DVD player and lots of DVDs, a plush couch and loveseat for movie nights. You can also access the screened porch with 4 comfortable outdoor chairs to enjoy the lake view and cross breezes. Walking up the open stairwell you'll enter the main area of the home with bucoos of windows to enjoy the gorgeous water view from the treetops. A private walkout balcony from the living room overlooks the lake below. A separate expansive deck with outdoor dining area is accessible off the kitchen. The builder incorporated unique salvaged elements that you'll find throughout the house and are part of what make it unique. There is a record player and classic records, a brand new top grain leather sectional sofa perfect for cozying up with a book or for a long conversation. The large open room has arched ceilings, and an open concept feel. The kitchen features gorgeous granite countertops, beautiful locally harvested white ash open shelving, and a dine-in island with seating for 6. You can access the laundry room from the great room, and walk down a hallway to the bedrooms. There are two airy bedrooms, each with lofted ceilings, screens on the windows, and ceilings fans. The queen beds with canopy frames are comfortable and plush, and each room is set up with a mirror and makeup area. The master suite features a full bathroom with tub/shower and modern floating shelf sink. The guest bath just outside both bedrooms offers a shower. From the house you can take the walking path down to the water. It's a bit steep so be sure to bring good shoes. There is an open shoreline with smooth slope into the water- perfect for relaxing by the water or playing in the shallows. The private cove is a wonderful place to fish or swim and avoid boat traffic. The water gradually increases in depth up to about 10' deep in the cove. The lake is a reservoir so speed boats are discouraged; it's generally very quiet on weekdays; while there are more activities on the main lake during the weekend it is still minimal compared to most lakes as only owners and renters area allowed access to the lake. We frequently are delighted to find that we are the lone boat on the water. Guest Access: Enter via the Covered Bridge. It's narrow so please go slow. Keypad on Basement Door to enter home. The Neighborhood: Neighbors are primarily feathered, finned or furry. There are other lakefront homes that are mostly second homes. The lake is private to homeowners and renters only. Cornerstone Cabin is an extraordinary cabin. We used three 100 year old square log cabins to build it. The old cabins were tagged, disassembled, moved to the lake, and reassembled into one house under current building codes, with all the modern comforts of home. The lake house sits on 11 secluded, forested acres with no other houses in sight. It has magnificent craftmanship, and all the wood was either from old dwellings or custom-milled for the house. Cornerstone Cabin has a tin roof, making the rain's pitter-patter so soothing. Another unique feature is that it has a full 2nd story. Most cabins constructed with old square logs are 1.5 stories with a loft or knee walls upstairs. Cornerstone has lots of windows & 7 ceiling fans throughout the house so you can throw open the windows & enjoy the fresh air & wildlife sounds. For your sleeping comfort, there are hand-made wooden shutters throughout the house to darken the rooms. Cornerstone's upstairs has 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 of which (queen & twin in each) have cathedral ceilings with exposed rafters. It's awesome to wake up slowly in the morning on vacation & gaze at the rugged old square logs, the old-timey chinking, & beautiful rafters (notched together the old-fashion way). The 3rd bedroom is also spacious & has 2 twin beds. The upstairs bath has full tub and shower. Starting from the ground up, there is stacked-stone foundation, chimney, & fireplace; then 3' X 9' floor joists for the 1st floor (exceeds any building codes, so the house is solid as a rock). The downstairs has custom-milled beams & includes bedroom (king), bathroom with shower, stack washer/dryer, fully-equipped kitchen, indoor seating for 12 with dining room table (6), bar (2), & game table(4), hi-speed internet, & family room with satellite color TV, oversized fireplace, & sturdy antique staircase built in 1820. In our cove there are often Snowy White Egrets, Blue Herons, jumping fish, turtles, and sometimes Bald Eagles and Beavers. The fishing on our dock is fantastic. You can catch Crappie and Bass. The night sky is incredible and you'll love looking for shooting stars at night. Our home comes with 3 paddleboards and 2 kayaks for your use. We also have several different sizes of life jackets. Our cove is an absolutely beautiful place to explore by paddleboard or kayak. (And by the way, if you haven't tried paddleboarding, it is incredibly fun! You can stand, sit, or kneel. You feel like you are on top of the water!) Our dock is the perfect place to lay in the sun and enjoy the serene beauty or jump in the lake and go for a swim. We keep several noodles and floaties at the house with an electric pump. There is a ladder that makes it easy to get in and out of the lake. There is room to tie up your boat and/or jet skis. The marina is only 5 minutes away (by boat or car)! There is a large deck in the back of the house overlooking the lake with a large table and 8 chairs. There is also a propane grill for cooking out. The backyard has a fire pit to roast your hotdogs and marshmallows or you can just enjoy the fire with the gorgeous lake as a backdrop. The home has 3 floors: Loft Level - King Bed, closet, and bathroom with a large jetted tub. This bedroom is open and has incredibly gorgeous lake views. Main Floor - This floor has a large, open spacious kitchen and living room with a wall full of windows to view the lake. The windows are so high that you can even view the stars at night from the inside. The large dining table can seat 8 people. There is also a bar with 4 stools for even more seating. The kitchen has a small, yet cozy electric fireplace. The bedroom on this floor has a Queen Bed and a TV. There is a full bathroom on the main floor as well, right across the hall from the bedroom. All of the floors in the guest space are hardwood except for bath floors which are all tile. The home is exceptionally pet friendly for WELL-BEHAVED 100% house-trained dogs only.The overly large pool area has plenty of grass for your pets to enjoy being outdoors in a secure area. Due to cat allergies we do not accept cats. There is a $50 pet fee per dog payable upon arrival and you are responsible for damages if your dog damages anything. We often get inquiries from people who want to exceed our stated maximum number of 13 guests. We are not an event center and we are not a "party house" and if you make a reservation you need to honor our house rules of no more than 13 guests. ANY exceptions to this "Maximum of 13 guests on premises" policy must be given by us to you in writing and exceptions will only be made on a case by case basis based on how many addional guests would be on premises and for what duration. There will be NO exceptions to the maximum number 13 of guests being INSIDE the home but on a case by case basis there may be written exceptions granted for extra folks coming over during the day for a limited amount of time for a FAMILY oriented event like a family reunion or a birthday party OUTSIDE the home. Once again, 13 is the maximum capacity INSIDE the home and any exceeding of the same 13 outside must be approved in advance IN WRITING by text or email. These rules are in place to prevent our farm from becoming an event center or to prevent it from hosting large parties. I mention alcohol specifically because in the past we have had two instances of groups of guests not drinking responsibly and damaging our property so we are much more careful now in screening our guests and being very clear and upfront with everyone making a reservation that ALCOHOL NEEDS TO BE USED RESPONSBILY if anyone in your group drinks alcohol.
